Overview

Noa Therapeutics is developing a series of proprietary small molecule biased aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) modulators for the treatment of inflammatory and immunological (I&I) diseases, with a specific focus on oral delivery for gastrointestinal indications. The company's platform utilizes a novel biased signal engagement approach to selectively activate therapeutic non-canonical AhR pathways while avoiding the toxic canonical signaling pathways typically associated with AhR ligands. These compounds are designed to act as master regulators of immunity, metabolism, and epithelial barrier function, aiming to resolve barrier dysfunction and reduce oxidative stress. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, leveraging high-throughput screening and structure-guided chemistry to develop novel chemical entities (NCEs) that can safely modulate innate and adaptive immunity to stop pathological inflammation.
