Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NOBIVAC NXT FeLV is a non-adjuvanted, freeze-dried injectable vaccine for cats that uses innovative RNA particle technology to protect against feline leukemia virus (FeLV). It is the first and only feline leukemia virus vaccine built on this platform. The vaccine works by delivering RNA particles encoding the envelope protein of the virus, which stimulates expression of the antigen in host cells and induces a robust, multi-layered immune response. This results in protection against both infection and persistent viremia caused by virulent FeLV exposure. The formulation is adjuvant-free, preservative-free, thimerosal-free, and administered as a low-volume 0.5 mL subcutaneous injection. It is indicated for healthy cats 8 weeks of age or older with a proven duration of immunity of at least two years[1][3][4][6].
