NOBIVAC NXT Rabies

NOBIVAC NXT Rabies is a first-of-its-kind veterinary vaccine for the prevention of rabies in dogs and cats. It utilizes state-of-the-art RNA particle technology to deliver the RNA sequence encoding a gene of interest (GOI) from the rabies virus directly to dendritic cells. Once inside these cells, the GOI is unpackaged and self-amplifies for a limited time, resulting in high levels of antigen production that stimulate both humoral (antibody-mediated) and cell-mediated immune responses. The vaccine is adjuvant-free and preservative-free, administered as a low-volume 0.5 mL dose for enhanced safety and comfort in companion animals. Developed by Merck Animal Health (MSD Animal Health outside North America), it represents the first major advancement in Canadian rabies vaccine technology for companion animals in over three decades[1][2][3][5].
