Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nolbaxol is a brand name for docetaxel, an antineoplastic agent and taxane derivative. It functions as an antimicrotubular agent by binding to free tubulin, promoting the polymerization of tubulin into stable microtubules, and inhibiting microtubule disassembly. This action blocks cellular mitotic and interphase functions, ultimately inhibiting cell division. Developed and manufactured by Yung Shin Pharm. Ind. Co., Ltd., Nolbaxol is used in the treatment of various cancers, including breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, and head and neck cancer.
