Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Non-immune plasma refers to blood plasma collected from donors who have not developed antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Unlike convalescent plasma therapy which uses blood from people who've recovered from COVID-19 to help others recover, non-immune plasma lacks the specific antibodies that would recognize and neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Non-immune plasma is often used as a control in studies evaluating the efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy.
