Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Noradox is a small molecule pharmaceutical product containing doxazosin mesilate, marketed by Errekappa Euroterapici in Italy. It functions as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist. By blocking these receptors, it induces peripheral vasodilation, effectively lowering blood pressure in patients with essential arterial hypertension. Additionally, it relaxes the smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder neck, which helps alleviate urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Noradox is available as divisible tablets for oral administration.
