Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NORAF-Premium is an equine-derived polyclonal antiserum developed and manufactured by Premium Serums and Vaccines for the treatment of snake envenomation, specifically targeting medically important venomous snake species found in North Africa. The product consists of purified immunoglobulin fragments, typically F(ab')2, obtained from the plasma of horses immunized against a polyvalent mixture of regional snake venoms. Its mechanism of action involves the neutralization of circulating venom toxins, preventing them from binding to their physiological targets and thereby mitigating systemic toxicity. NORAF-Premium is available in both liquid and lyophilized formulations to facilitate storage and use in various clinical environments.
