Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Normarin Sinus is a hypertonic saline nasal spray developed by AICORE, containing a 2.3% sodium chloride solution. It is specifically formulated to relieve nasal congestion and sinus pressure associated with conditions such as sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and common respiratory infections. The product operates through an osmotic mechanism; the hypertonic concentration of salt draws excess fluid out of the swollen nasal mucosa, thereby reducing edema and improving nasal patency. Additionally, the spray facilitates the mechanical clearance of thick mucus, environmental allergens, and crusts from the nasal cavity. As a non-pharmacological intervention, it is often used as an alternative or adjunct to chemical decongestants to avoid side effects like rebound congestion.
