Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Normison is a topical otic medical device formulated as an ear spray, primarily used for the prevention and adjunctive treatment of external auditory canal inflammation (otitis externa). It is specifically designed for use after frequent or prolonged water exposure, such as swimming, diving, or bathing. The formulation consists of isopropyl alcohol, which promotes rapid drying of the ear canal surface; acetic acid, which helps restore the skin's natural protective acid mantle; and dexpanthenol, which provides additional skin care and protection. Distributed by Sigmapharm Arzneimittel and manufactured by MoNo chem-pharm Produkte, Normison is marketed as a medical product rather than a pharmaceutical drug in its primary European markets.
