Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NOROMBY is a biosimilar of the reference biologic Lovenox (enoxaparin sodium), developed by Juno Pharma Canada (formed by the merger of Juno Pharmaceuticals and Omega Laboratories). As a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), it functions as an anticoagulant by binding to and enhancing the activity of antithrombin III, which subsequently inhibits clotting factors Xa and IIa (thrombin). NOROMBY is indicated for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as for the management of acute coronary syndromes. It is available in standard (NOROMBY) and high-potency (NOROMBY HP) formulations for subcutaneous or intravenous administration.
