Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NORVAX Compact PD is an inactivated veterinary vaccine developed by MSD Animal Health for the active immunization of Atlantic salmon (*Salmo salar*). It is specifically formulated to reduce heart lesions, mortality, and weight loss associated with Pancreas Disease (PD) caused by Salmonid Alphavirus (SAV). The vaccine contains the inactivated Salmon pancreas disease virus (SPDV) strain F93-125 and is formulated as an emulsion for injection with the adjuvant Montanide ISA 763A VG. It is administered as a single 0.1 ml dose via intraperitoneal injection to provide protection against the clinical signs of PD in aquaculture settings.
