Overview

**NOSO-95** is a first-in-class antibacterial molecule and the inaugural member of the novel **odilorhabdin** class, discovered from bacteria of the genus *Xenorhabdus*. It exhibits potent activity against multi-drug resistant Gram-negative pathogens, including *Escherichia coli*, *Klebsiella pneumoniae*, *Enterobacter* spp., *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, and *Acinetobacter baumannii*, as well as some Gram-positive bacteria like methicillin-resistant *Staphylococcus aureus*. NOSO-95 selectively inhibits bacterial protein translation at the ribosome, sparing human cells, and has demonstrated bactericidal effects, low cytotoxicity, and efficacy in mouse models of septicemia and other infections. Developed by **Nosopharm**, it underwent lead optimization (yielding derivatives like NOSO-95179 and NOSO-502) to advance toward clinical development for life-threatening hospital-acquired infections.[1][3][5][9]
