Overview

Notch-2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the Notch-2 receptor, a member of the Notch signaling pathway involved in cell growth, differentiation, and cancer progression. In preclinical research, particularly in bladder cancer, Notch-2 has been identified as a key driver of the invasive phenotype and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). By targeting and promoting the degradation of Notch-2 mRNA, this siRNA reduces the protein levels of the Notch-2 receptor, leading to decreased cell migration and alterations in the expression of genes associated with EMT and cell-cell adhesion. It is primarily utilized as a research tool to validate Notch-2 as a therapeutic target in oncology.
