Overview
Nourish Lungs and Strengthen Spleen Granules (Yangfei Jianpi Keli) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound formulation primarily used for the treatment of respiratory diseases. It is specifically indicated for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in the stable phase and for the recovery of patients during the convalescent stage of viral pneumonia, including COVID-19. The formula is based on the TCM principle of "tonifying the earth to generate gold" (strengthening the spleen to support the lungs). It typically contains a blend of herbs such as Astragalus, Codonopsis, and Atractylodes, which work synergistically to improve lung function, enhance immune response, and alleviate symptoms like cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Clinical studies have demonstrated its ability to reduce the frequency of acute exacerbations in COPD and improve the quality of life by modulating inflammatory markers and T-cell subsets.
