Nourishing Yin and Soothing Liver Capsule (YYSG capsules) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation in capsule form, derived from the traditional formula Yiguan Jian. It is being investigated for its efficacy in treating poor ovarian response (POR) and premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Its mechanism of action, rooted in TCM principles, involves tonifying the kidneys and soothing the liver. Molecular investigations suggest it enhances ovarian reserve and function by downregulating apoptosis-related proteins such as Bax and caspase-3, and increasing the expression of Bcl-2. The drug has received clinical trial approval from the National Medical Products Administration of China.
