Overview

NOV-002 + paclitaxel + carboplatin is a triple-drug combination used in oncologic therapy, primarily evaluated in advanced cancers such as non-small cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer. NOV-002 is a formulation of disodium glutathione disulfide that acts as a redox modulator, affecting cellular proliferation and immunity via protein S-glutathionylation. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent (taxane derivative) that inhibits cell division, and carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that crosslinks DNA, causing apoptosis of cancer cells. This combination is studied for its synergistic anti-tumor effects and potential for improved chemotherapy tolerance with NOV-002 added.
