NOV-1205

NOV-1205 is an investigational small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor being developed by National OncoVenture, a South Korean national drug development consortium. It is specifically designed to target the BCR-ABL1 fusion protein, an oncogenic kinase that results from the Philadelphia chromosome translocation (t(9;22)). This fusion protein is the primary driver of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), leading to constitutive kinase activity and uncontrolled proliferation of myeloid cells. By binding to the kinase domain of BCR-ABL1, NOV-1205 aims to inhibit downstream signaling pathways, thereby suppressing leukemic cell survival and proliferation. The drug is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myelogenous leukemia.
