Overview

NOV202 is a preclinical small molecule drug candidate developed by Lidds AB, following its acquisition of Noviga Research AB in 2024. It is designed to be used in combination with poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors to enhance their antitumoral efficacy. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that NOV202 exhibits synergistic effects when paired with marketed PARP inhibitors in models of ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. The compound aims to modulate DNA damage and repair pathways to overcome resistance or improve the therapeutic window of standard PARP inhibitor therapy. It has shown favorable pharmacokinetic properties and safety profiles in preliminary evaluations, with plans to progress into Phase Ib/IIa clinical trials for refractory cancers following regulatory toxicology and safety pharmacology studies.
