Novaluzid

Novaluzid is a branded, non-systemic antacid formulation containing a basic aluminum–magnesium carbonate/hydroxide complex (aluminum;dimagnesium;carbonate;pentahydroxide) used for rapid relief of symptoms related to excess gastric acidity, including heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux, and peptic ulcer disease.[1][3][9][13] As a locally acting antacid, it neutralizes hydrochloric acid in the stomach lumen, thereby increasing intragastric pH and reducing acid-mediated mucosal irritation without a specific molecular receptor target.[1][5][7][9] The product is available as liquid and chewable tablet formulations and has been used as high-dose therapy in reflux esophagitis, where its symptomatic efficacy was comparable to ranitidine in short-term studies.[1]
