Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The novel COVID-19 mRNA vaccine is an investigational prophylactic agent developed by Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital for the prevention of infection by SARS-CoV-2. Utilizing messenger RNA technology, the vaccine encodes the viral spike protein to elicit a protective immune response, including the production of neutralizing antibodies and T-cell activation. It is currently being evaluated in a randomized, blinded, parallel-controlled Phase I clinical trial (ChiCTR2300069133) in China. This study aims to assess the safety, preliminary immunogenicity, and immune persistence of the vaccine in healthy adults aged 18 and older, comparing it against both a placebo and an inactivated COVID-19 vaccine comparator.
