Overview

Novel miRNA inhibitor N2 is an experimental antisense oligonucleotide designed to target and inhibit a specific, unnamed microRNA (miRNA) identified in exosomes derived from cord blood stem cells (CBSC-EV). Research presented at the AACR 2024 annual meeting demonstrated that N2, when used in conjunction with CBSC-EVs, modulates gene expression within cytokine-mediated signaling and interaction pathways in malignant melanoma cells. This inhibition appears to enhance the apoptotic and anti-tumor effects of the exosomes while sparing healthy cells, suggesting a potential role for such inhibitors in future cancer immunotherapy and genetic medicine.
