Overview

NOVO-112 is a preclinical-stage macrocycle drug conjugate (MDC) being developed by InnovoTEX for the treatment of breast cancer and melanoma. It utilizes a phototherapy/photothermal mechanism to thermally heat tumors using ultrasound, inducing hyperthermia to destroy cancer cells. Unlike traditional photodynamic therapies, NOVO-112's mechanism is non-reactive-oxygen-species (ROS) generating, which helps minimize off-target oxidative damage. The candidate is currently in the proof-of-concept (POC) and discovery stage of development.
