Overview
NOVOCAL-FEM SG is a combination nutraceutical softgel capsule developed by Captab Biotec for the management of bone health, particularly peri- and postmenopausal osteoporosis. It contains calcitriol (a synthetic vitamin D3 analog), calcium carbonate, soya isoflavones, vitamin K2-7 (menaquinone-7), and magnesium. Calcitriol enhances intestinal calcium absorption, while calcium carbonate directly replenishes calcium stores essential for bone mineralization. Soya isoflavones exert mild estrogenic activity to reduce bone resorption in postmenopausal women. Vitamin K2-7 activates osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein to facilitate calcium incorporation into the bone matrix and prevent arterial calcification, and magnesium supports bone matrix formation and muscle function.
