Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**NOVOCART Inject** is a patient-specific, gel-based matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte implantation product developed by TETEC for repair of localized full-thickness articular-cartilage defects. It combines a patient's expanded autologous chondrocytes with an injectable, in-situ polymerizable PEG-albumin-hyaluronic-acid hydrogel that is delivered into the cartilage defect, including through arthroscopic procedures. The product is intended to retain viable chondrocytes at the defect site and support biological cartilage regeneration rather than pharmacologically modulating a defined molecular target. Public clinical studies have evaluated NOVOCART Inject for knee and hip cartilage defects.
