NovoTTF-200T is a portable, battery-powered, noninvasive medical device that delivers Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields)—low-intensity, alternating electric fields—to disrupt cancer cell division. The device is designed to be used in combination with systemic therapies such as atezolizumab and bevacizumab for the first-line treatment of patients with unresectable or metastatic liver cancer. TTFields therapy works by interfering with the electrically charged components of dividing cancer cells, leading to disruption of mitosis and ultimately inhibiting tumor growth or causing cell death. The system has also been studied in combination with other agents like sorafenib and is under investigation for use in several solid tumors including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), pancreatic cancer, and brain metastases[1][2][4][5][6][7].
