NP-101

NP-101 is a novel, patent-pending oral formulation derived from Nigella sativa (black seed), with thymoquinone (TQ) as its main active ingredient. The drug is formulated as an enteric-coated capsule containing a high concentration of thymoquinone along with fatty acids such as palmitic, oleic, and linoleic acids[1][3]. NP-101 acts primarily by targeting the angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor and has demonstrated immunomodulatory effects by boosting CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell populations[1][3][8]. It exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-mutagenic, antitumor properties and may inhibit viral entry via ACE2. Clinical trials have shown efficacy in reducing symptom burden in COVID-19 patients and potential activity against neuroendocrine tumors when combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors[1][6][10].
