Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NP005 is an allogeneic, polyclonal regulatory T cell (Treg) therapy being developed by Shanghai Saierxin Biomedical Technology (also known as NovaBioTx). The therapy is designed for intravenous administration to treat post-stroke cognitive impairment and various acute or critical care conditions. By leveraging the natural immunosuppressive and pro-regenerative functions of Tregs, NP005 aims to modulate the systemic and local inflammatory responses that occur following a stroke, thereby reducing secondary neuronal damage and supporting cognitive recovery. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage, with ongoing investigator-initiated trials (IIT) to evaluate its safety and preliminary efficacy.
