Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NPC-1 is a monoclonal antibody developed to target the mutated MUC5ac antigen, which is expressed in pancreatic cancer. It has demonstrated efficacy in animal models by inducing rapid tumor destruction through Antibody-Dependent Cell-mediated Cytotoxicity (ADCC). Safety and efficacy studies, including tissue cross-reactivity, biodistribution, and cytokine release assays, have been conducted, leading to the initiation of a Phase I clinical trial for pancreatic cancer.
