Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NPL-101 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody candidate developed by Novatek Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to target the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint, a key regulator of T-cell activity. By binding to PD-1, NPL-101 blocks its interaction with ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, which are often exploited by tumor cells to evade immune detection. This blockade releases the inhibition of T-cell activation, thereby enhancing the body's anti-tumor immune response. NPL-101 is being developed for multiple oncology indications as part of Novatek's immunotherapy pipeline.
