Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NPL-102 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody candidate developed by Novatek Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to target the Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), an immune checkpoint receptor that functions as a negative regulator of T-cell activation. By binding to CTLA-4, NPL-102 prevents its interaction with ligands CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells, thereby maintaining T-cell activity and enhancing the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy malignant cells. It is being developed for multiple oncology indications as a biosimilar to the reference product ipilimumab.
