Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NQ2010 is an investigational peptide-based therapy being developed by Novaliq for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Currently in the preclinical stage, the drug is formulated using Novaliq's proprietary EyeSol® technology, a water-free platform based on perfluorohexyloctane that enables the topical delivery of medications to the posterior segment of the eye. NQ2010 is designed to provide anti-ischemic and neuroprotective benefits, potentially offering a non-invasive alternative to the intravitreal injections currently used to manage retinal diseases. By delivering the peptide via eye drops, NQ2010 aims to address the underlying vascular and neuronal damage associated with diabetic retinopathy while improving patient compliance and reducing the risks associated with invasive procedures.
