NRC-2694-A

NRC-2694-A is an orally administered, small molecule inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), developed by Natco Pharma. It acts as an EGFR tyrosine kinase antagonist, blocking EGFR-mediated signaling pathways that are critical for tumor cell proliferation and survival. By inhibiting EGFR, which is often mutated or overexpressed in various cancers, NRC-2694-A induces cell death in EGFR-expressing tumor cells. The drug has demonstrated significant potency in preclinical studies and is being evaluated clinically for the treatment of recurrent and/or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M-HNSCC), particularly in patients who have progressed after immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
