Overview

NRG-103 is an innovative gene therapy drug and oncolytic virus developed for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma (GBM). It is based on in situ trans-differentiation technology, utilizing a genetically engineered adenovirus with multiple mutations to enhance tumor cell specificity and lysis. The therapy works by selectively infecting and lysing GBM tumor cells, activating the immune system for a broader anti-tumor response, and expressing two transcription factors that efficiently transdifferentiate residual GBM cells into non-tumor-like neuronal cells. This multi-modal approach aims to delay tumor recurrence and improve long-term survival in patients with recurrent glioblastoma[1][5][8].
