Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NRT-FX_01 is a preclinical antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) developed by NEORNAT for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and liver fibrosis. The drug functions as an antisense inhibitor of let-7i-5p microRNA (miRNA). By inhibiting let-7i-5p, NRT-FX_01 is designed to restore the expression of thrombospondin-1 (TSP1), which in turn modulates the CD47-SIRPα signaling axis. This mechanism aims to activate macrophage phagocytosis, facilitating the clearance of damaged cells and the resolution of hepatic fibrosis in chronic liver diseases.
