Overview
NRT001 is a nicotine-containing buccal film developed by Opes for nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in individuals with nicotine dependence. The drug is designed to deliver nicotine directly through the oral mucosa, providing a rapid and reliable release of nicotine to alleviate cravings and withdrawal symptoms associated with smoking cessation. NRT001 is formulated using Opes' patented active ingredient delivery system, which allows for efficient absorption through oral membranes. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to compare its pharmacokinetics and tolerability with existing nicotine oromucosal sprays.
