NRX-NGT002 is a small molecule inhibitor of leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) under development by Novorex for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. Discovered using Novorex's Fragment-Based Drug Discovery (FBDD) and AI-driven biophysical validation platform, the candidate aims to slow disease progression rather than merely masking symptoms. NRX-NGT002 has been selected for support by the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) and is undergoing preclinical safety testing in preparation for Phase 1 clinical trials.
