Overview

NS-245 is a small molecule inhibitor of Salt-inducible kinase 3 (SIK3) being developed by Nippon Shinyaku for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. SIK3 is a member of the AMPK-related kinase family that plays a critical role in regulating the production of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines. By inhibiting SIK3, NS-245 is designed to suppress the inflammatory response and restore immune homeostasis. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in Japan.
