Overview

NS-9 is a complex of poly-inosinate [poly(I)] and poly-cytidylate [poly(C)] in a cationic liposome. It was investigated in a first-in-human phase I pharmacokinetic trial for patients with liver metastases from solid tumors. The drug showed rapid elimination with a half-life ranging from 2.4 to 5.0 hours without accumulation after multiple doses. The maximum tolerated dose (MTD) was determined to be 0.2 mg/m².
