Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NS003 is an intranasal powder formulation of ondansetron being developed by Nasus Pharma for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, including intractable vomiting. The drug utilizes Nasus's proprietary powder-based intranasal (PBI) platform, which features a two-particle system: small, uniform drug particles for stable absorption and larger lactose carrier particles that facilitate broad dispersion across the nasal cavity. As a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, NS003 is designed to provide a needle-free, rapid-onset alternative to oral or injectable antiemetics, particularly in acute or emergency situations where oral administration is impractical due to active vomiting. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
