Overview

NS7 CAR-T cells are an autologous or donor-derived chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD7 antigen. Developed primarily for the treatment of relapsed or refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL), these cells utilize a "naturally selected" (NS) manufacturing process. Unlike other CD7 CAR-T approaches that require genomic knockout or protein blockade of CD7 to prevent fratricide (self-killing), NS7 cells are generated from a subset of T cells that naturally lack or have low expression of CD7, or through a selection process that preserves viability without genetic editing of the T-cell marker. Clinical data from trials like NCT04572308 have shown high rates of minimal residual disease (MRD)-negative complete remission in heavily pretreated patients.
