Drug intelligence / Profile preview
nSf-CoVac is a monovalent protein nanoparticle vaccine candidate developed by Sferogen for the prevention of COVID-19. It utilizes Sferogen's proprietary nanoSFERIC platform, which is designed to present SARS-CoV-2 antigens in a highly organized nanoparticle format to elicit a robust and protective immune response. Unlike Sferogen's CoVLP candidate, which is based on enveloped virus-like particles (eVLP), nSf-CoVac employs a protein nanoparticle architecture. The vaccine is intended to enhance the stability and immunogenicity of viral antigens compared to traditional protein subunit approaches. As of the current pipeline status, nSf-CoVac is in the preclinical research and development stage.
