NST-141

NST-141 is a topical small molecule Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Co-developed by Nippon Shinyaku and Taiho Pharmaceutical, the agent is formulated as a 1% ointment designed for localized delivery to affected skin areas. By inhibiting the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, NST-141 aims to reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines that drive the skin inflammation and pruritus characteristic of atopic dermatitis. The drug is intended to provide a therapeutic effect while minimizing the systemic exposure and associated side effects often seen with oral JAK inhibitors. As of 2024, NST-141 is in Phase 2 clinical development in Japan.
