NT-1921 is an investigational CAR-T cell therapy developed by Nova Paths (Nova Therapeutics) for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The therapy is powered by Nova Paths' proprietary nSMART (SMART) CAR-T technology platform, which is designed to produce autologous or allogeneic CAR-T cells directed against a specific prostate cancer antigen. The nSMART technology aims to modulate the immune activity within the tumor microenvironment by activating tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and reducing regulatory T cell populations, while simultaneously improving CAR-T cell proliferation and persistence. Early clinical data from an investigator-initiated Phase 1 trial (NCT05656573) has demonstrated promising results, including a 100% disease control rate and a 62% objective response rate, with significant declines in serum PSA levels observed in patients with mCRPC.
