NT-KO-003

NT-KO-003 is an oral small molecule drug developed for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It is notable for its neuroprotective effects without causing immunosuppression, distinguishing it from many other MS therapies. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of neuronal death induced by NMDA insult, central nervous system anti-inflammatory activity mediated by glial cells, and potential remyelinating effects. Its molecular target is the K-ATP channel. NT-KO-003 was co-developed by Advancell and Neurotec Pharma and has undergone Phase IIa clinical trials in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis[1][2][3][4][6].
