Overview

NT1 is a small peptide drug candidate developed by Neurotez, Inc., specifically designed for the treatment and prevention of early-onset familial Alzheimer's disease (FAD). The therapeutic mechanism involves disrupting the abnormal interaction between presenilin 1 (PS1) and cytoplasmic linker protein 170 (CLIP-170). In familial AD, this interaction is linked to increased production of amyloid-beta peptides. By blocking this protein-protein interaction, NT1 aims to reduce amyloid-beta levels and potentially serve as a preventative therapy for individuals carrying FAD-associated mutations.
