Overview

NTC-001 is a first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody that targets and neutralizes Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1). CXCL1 is a key mediator in the initiation and progression of bladder cancer, contributing to tumor growth and angiogenesis. Developed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as a humanized version of the murine antibody HL2401, NTC-001 has shown significant inhibitory effects on bladder cancer cell proliferation and tube formation in HUVEC models. It also exhibits synergistic efficacy when used in combination with gemcitabine. As of 2022, the program was in the final stages of preclinical development, completing IND-enabling studies for transition into Phase 1 clinical trials.
