Overview

NTHi H99-115 is a specific strain of Non-typeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) that has been investigated as a killed immunogen in a mouse model. The research focuses on its ability to induce strain-specific pulmonary defense, particularly in the context of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) caused by NTHi. The outer membrane protein P2 and other surface antigens of NTHi H99-115 are believed to be key components in eliciting this protective immune response.
