Overview
NTM-001 is a novel, alcohol-free, pre-mixed bag (PMB) formulation of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ketorolac, specifically designed for continuous intravenous (IV) infusion. Developed by Neumentum Inc., it is intended for the management of moderate-to-severe acute post-surgical pain. Unlike standard bolus injections of ketorolac, NTM-001 aims to provide steady-state plasma concentrations to offer constant analgesic coverage and potentially reduce the need for opioid medications. In 2021, Neumentum licensed the rights for development and commercialization in China to Nuance Biotech. The product is designed to eliminate the risks associated with ethanol used in other ketorolac formulations and to simplify administration in clinical settings.
