Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NTM-004 is a non-opioid, small molecule new chemical entity (NCE) being developed by Neumentum for the treatment of acute and chronic pain, as well as inflammation. It is an intravenous (IV) analogue of acetaminophen (APAP) designed to provide potent analgesic efficacy without the hepatotoxicity associated with traditional acetaminophen. Currently in the IND-enabling stage, NTM-004 aims to provide a safer alternative to both opioids and high-dose acetaminophen for pain management in clinical settings. The compound is part of a broader pipeline focused on addressing the opioid crisis by providing effective non-opioid alternatives for pain management.
