Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NTM-005 is an oral small molecule new chemical entity (NCE) being developed by Neumentum as a non-opioid treatment for acute pain, chronic pain, and inflammation. Designed as an analogue of acetaminophen (APAP), it is intended to serve as a safer alternative to traditional analgesics by potentially avoiding the hepatotoxicity associated with high-dose APAP and the addiction risks of opioids. The compound is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development. While its specific molecular target has not been publicly disclosed, it represents a key part of Neumentum's strategy to develop novel, non-addictive pain management therapies.
